Managing Server Pools

Server pools enable efficient management of compute resources, allowing you to share them across apps within your account. Optionally, you can extend this sharing capability to other accounts within your organization, facilitating the operation of numerous apps with fewer servers, which increases efficiency and reduces compute costs. Follow these simple steps to create your fleet and assign servers to pools.

1- Your Servers

Manage your server fleet here. Servers can be:

  • Acquired, provisioned, managed, and offered by Kinesis Network

  • Your own compute, which you connect to your compute grid

You can easily add more servers to your fleet by clicking on "Add Servers" button.

2- Your Pools

You can create logical groups of servers designated for specific project types. A server can belong to multiple pools, allowing it to be shared across different projects.

To add a server to a pool, simply drag and drop it. Alternatively, you can use the button at the bottom of the page.

All applications targeting a pool will run on one or more machines in that pool, which significantly increases efficiency and reduces costs.

The image above illustrates how to share your pool with other accounts and manage it if you are the owner.
